Looks like it's been over two years since my last blog - you know - life gets in the way! But all good stuff as we've sold our home we lived in for almost 29 years and relocated to a barrier island!! And now we can get serious about traveling again.
We're headed west for a wedding in Utah and thought, let's get there the long way and see some of the country. SO... we are flying to Chicago for a couple of nights (yep - never been there); then hopping on Amtrak Southwest Chief for a train ride to Flagstaff, Arizona; driving to the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Bryce Canyon; and finally arriving in Park City, Utah in time for the wedding and a few days to explore the area.
The bags are packed (they are under 40lbs - amazing!) and we fly on Thursday. And yes, that's Ed's hat - an authentic Aussie hat from our neighbors (whom we will miss dearly now that we've moved) and it can't be packed, so Ed will take on a bit of a different look as we ramble through the airport together!
